Movability Names Carina Boston Pinales Executive Director 

Cross-sector leader brings experience in employer transportation, economic development, sustainability, and regional partnership building.  

Austin, TX – Movability’s Board of Directors has named Carina Boston Pinales as the organization’s new Executive Director. Movability is a nonprofit transportation management association (TMA) dedicated to expanding commute options. Boston Pinales brings more than a decade of experience working across transportation, economic development, and sustainability, with a focus on building partnerships that turn regional priorities into action.

She will be introduced to the Central Texas mobility community in her new role at the 2026 Movability Summit on September 11.

“Carina’s experience with both regional collaboration and developing transportation strategies for employers is exactly what Movability needs as we grow our regional impact," said Sarah Garza, Movability Board Chair. “We're confident she'll help lead the next phase of Movability's work to keep Central Texas moving as our region grows." 

Movability works with employers, public agencies, and individuals to advance commute options that reduce congestion, improve safety, and protect air quality to sustain Central Texas’ stronger, more resilient local economy. The organization’s work includes advocacy, incentives, experiential programming, and developing custom mobility plans for members motivated to reduce drive-alone commuting. 

Boston Pinales has managed corporate sustainability and commute programs for Fortune 100 clients, developing and promoting alternative transportation strategies for large employer workforces. As an Economic Recovery Corps (ERC) Fellow serving the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI) Department of Commerce through the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), she led strategic planning efforts supporting the Commonwealth’s long-term economic priorities. She also coordinated with government agencies, businesses, and national partners to help connect people and businesses with resources and economic opportunities.

Boston Pinales will share more about her vision for Movability at the 2026 Movability Summit. The Movability Summit takes place on September 11 at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, is one of the organization’s flagship events, and an example of the convening role Movability plays.
