No matter what team you support, all sports fans can agree that gameday traffic in Austin is no fun. But what if you could opt out of traffic AND get cash??

Movability’s Game Day Challenge gives Austinites a chance to win a $50 HEB gift card by using active or shared transportation modes to get around - whether or not you’re going to the game - on days when there are big sporting events in Austin.

Why are we rewarding you for getting around, even if you’re not going to the game? When there are events that cause traffic congestion, every shared and active trip helps reduce the number of cars on the road. If you’re choosing to drive with someone else or use other modes, we want to reward you and help you keep trying different transportation options!

  • 2/22: UT Women’s Basketball vs Mississippi State
  • 2/25: UT Men’s Basketball vs Florida
  • 2/26: UT Women’s Basketball vs Georgia
  • 2/27 - 3/1: NASCAR at COTA
  • 3/1: Austin FC vs D.C. United at Q2 Stadium
  • 3/7: UT Men’s Basketball vs Oklahoma
  • 3/21: Austin FC vs LAFC at Q2 Stadium

Here's how to win:

  1. Getting around by bike or transit?: Download Carbon Cred for Android Download Carbon Cred for apple
  2. Need to make carpools with friends and family or find a carpool match?: Download ConnectSmart Mobility for Android Download ConnectSmart Mobility for apple Movability partners with Carbon Cred and ConnectSmart to verify and reward non-drive-alone trips.
  3. On days when large sporting events like Austin FC matches or college football games take place in Austin, use active or shared modes wherever you’re headed – carpooling, rideshare, transit, biking, scooters, walking, and bikeshare all count!
  4. That’s it! Movability will do a random drawing among participants after each home game.

The fine print:

  1. Using active or shared modes to any destination on days when Austin FC matches or home UT football games are taking place automatically enters you to win, as long as you have downloaded Carbon Cred and/or ConnectSmart and have given the apps permission to track your trips. You do NOT have to travel to a game to be entered.
  2. Participants must reside in Central Texas (Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties)
  3. You must have downloaded Carbon Cred and/or ConnectSmart and fill out the information the apps need, including giving permission to track trips, to be entered for prize drawings. While Carbon Cred will only give app users carbon credits for commute trips, using the app for all active and shared trips enters users for Movability prize drawings.
  4. City of Austin and Travis County employees are not eligible for this giveaway based on City and County laws
  5. Movability employees and their relatives are not eligible for this giveaway
  6. Once notified, the winner must respond within five (5) business days. Failure to respond means a forfeiture of the giveaway prize
