Movability staff looks forward to the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) International Conference every year, and this year’s conference in New York City was an especially great one!
Movability staff led panels, held an event for Movability members attending the conference, and came home with a few awards.
Alix Scarborough, Movability’s Director of Membership and Professional Services, won the President’s Emerging Leader Award from ACT. As Director of Membership and Professional Services at Movability, Alix has helped employers all over Central Texas develop and implement commute policies that benefit their employees and reduce drive-alone trips in our growing region. Under Alix’s leadership, Movability’s membership has grown to its highest number ever, with members that include employers with thousands of employees all the way to small, local employers. She has also led the way in providing one-of-a-kind networking, educational, and leadership opportunities that bring value to Movability members.
Movability as an organization won the Red River Chapter President’s Award from ACT for our work as a transportation management association (TMA). If you’re curious to know more about what a TMA is and what they do, this is a good overview.
We’re also proud of Movability founding partner Capital Metro for winning the transportation demand management (TDM) award in the public transit category, and member Bird for winning the national award for promotion of active commuting.
