Commuting During Festival Season

There's a lot going on around Central Texas this fall! Even if you're not going to ACL Fest, football games, races at COTA, or one of the other events taking place this month, you're almost certainly going to get caught in the traffic from those events.

Whether you're a commuter or a festival-goer, this is a great month to ditch your car and arrive at your destination with a stress-free mode that will also save you on gas and parking costs.

Not sure what commute options are available to you? Movability works with employers to help them connect their employees with better commutes by providing flex schedules or hybrid work options, working with a vanpool or shuttle provider, subsidizing transit passes, providing bike storage, showers and more.

If you’d like Movability to talk to your employer about joining to get access to commute planning and programming visit the employer request form.

Individual commuters can also take advantage of the Get There Central Texas network without becoming a Movability member. The network can help you find carpools, vanpools, bike groups and/or transit routes."

Participants can also sign up for an Emergency Ride Home program that’s completely free. And when you log your trips, you’re entered for twice-monthly random prize drawings!

If you're headed to fun events, check out suggestions from our friends at GetThereATX for fast, cheap, and easy ways to get to all your fave places this festival season and sign up for their newsletter to stay up to date on sustainable travel tips.
